Welcome to Healthcare Magic Peripartum cardiomyopathy can occur due to increased demands in pregnancy of a weak heart. Not to worry. You seem to have a good LVEF. There is good prognosis as your LVEF is above 55%. Just follow your Cardiologist orders. Better to plan pregnancy after 2-3 years for you and your heart to recuperate and get more strength to bear in next pregnancy. Avoid high salt diet, drink enough water. Do brick walking exercise as per your Cardiologist's orders. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Ask your Doctor about Coenzyme Q as they are useful in your condition as supplement. There should not be any problem in next pregnancy if you are well nourished, good health and good obstetric facilities.
