I am currently 9 wks and 3 days pregnant. I went in for my first appt on wed. The doctor said my levels of hcg were at 3500. They did a transvaginal and a stomach ultrasound, and he said he could see the sac, and the baby, but had a hard time seeing it closely as it was early. I went in today for a ER visit for spotting, no cramping however, or any other symptom of miscarriage. They did a pelvic exam, and both ultrasounds, they also took blood. They had a very hard time taking blood due to dehydration. He told me that my hcg levels had gone from 3500 to 3400. Is this a significant enough drop for him to have said it was definitely going to be a miscarriage? I have had no cramping or fever or vomitting, some spotting but not heavy. He also said he could not see the baby on the ultrasound. But i read that the hcg levels affect the view of the baby.
