Dizziness, Vomiting, Blood Pressure High. Relief With Aspirin. Reason?

It's about 3:30 AM Central time. my wife woke me up saying she was dizzy while laying in bed sleeping. got her up in chair and she started to vomit a lot. blood pressure was 184/116 first check and second time it was 189/116; second time was 165/116 then it went up again. I gave her an asprin and a 5 minutes later it was 152/96 but she still feels dizzy although she has stopped vomiting. also gave her some cold orange soda. she has generally good health but she coughs a lot. a few years ago she went to doctor because she had dizzy spells sometimes and he told her to try over counter medicine for motion sickness. she has fainted two times in past 6 months when working in the yard in hot sun working too much..

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Looking to history of your wife it can be said hypertensive patient but of course not sever can be considered as borderline hypertensive, she had history of fainting, and intermittent history of dizzy spell, in such situation I would suggest for certain investigation first is CT head, rest of the investigation would depend upon the CT report, if it turned unremarkable then no need to worry, history of vomiting during the dizzy spell is indication of some pathology, taking any chance is not wise in this case better have opinion from neurophysician, take care of your wife Please be in touch with HCM, bye
