Discomfort While Playing Frisbee, Sore Chest, Cannot Take Deep Breaths. What Is Wrong?

I was playing Frisbee two nights ago when I went up for a catch and collided with another player. I felt an immediate disconform, but keep playing. The next day the right side of my chest was extrememly sore and now I can t take deep breaths or lift my right arm . The pain is worse in the evenings and is dull and achy while resting, but turns to shooting stabbing pains when I attempt to use that part of my body. What s wrong? and what should I do?

Hi Casie,
Thanks for putting up your problem at Healthcare Magic!
You might have injuried yourself seriously by the collision.
It can be a soft tissue injury but you could have had a fracture of ribs and may be a pneumothorax or a hemothorax where air or blood collects around the lung respectively; abnormally due to injury.
Please visit your physician and get an Xray chest.
You would need a good pain killer like Voveran Plus for 5 days and if any abnormality visible on Xray then to be treated accordingly.
I hope the advise would be helpful for you.
Take Care!
