Hi! I have had trouble with a knawing feeling in stomach for long time-gets better and gets worse -esp. if I'm upset it gets worse.Basically I feel like I haven't eaten and I just had a meal- Like stomach is totally empty I-if I don't eat something and try to ignore it -I will get a terrible headache and start to feel lightheaded. Alc has been checked they say I don't have diabetes- What to think? thx

Hi,

From what you are describing, it might be related to irritable bowel syndrome.
Feeling lightheaded and stomach troubles could be related to not eating properly (low blood sugar levels).

I'd advise to:

- eat your meals regularly
- eat often and small portions
- avoid spicy, chilly, fatty, fried foods
- avoid carbonated, caffein drinks.

If no improvement, you should start taking omeprazole and antiacids to ease your stomach troubles.

All the best!
