Diagnosed With Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Hi, my husband is age 58, has been having some stomach problems. Diagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome,
had a stomach ultrasound and they say a dark spot showed up. Is to go tomorrow for a ct scan with contrast.
Had a colonoscopy just a couple of months ago and it wa clean. What can the dark spot be?

Noted the history about your husband who was diagnosed as IBS was found with a dark spot on ultrasound, Colonoscopy a couple of months ago was normal, going for a Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen tomorrow, wants to know what can dark spot be.
With the history you have provided about your husband being diagnosed as IBS means all the investigations were specifically normal.
Hence this ''dark'' spot as being told may not be something specific and this is never the diagnosis one gets on paper, nor you have mentioned where in the dark spot is spotted.
Hence do not worry, let us see the reports of the CT scan and give full history so that we can discuss further and fruitful.
