Diagnosed With Hypothyroidism. Fluctuating BP, Low Pulsre Rate, Nervousness. Low BP Due To Hypothyroid?

Hi, I've just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I'm a 63 year old female and have most of the symptoms. The only thing that I don't understand is that my blood pressure is very low in the morning, but as soon as I get up, it gets very irregular and sometimes goes as high as !70/105, but my pulse stays very low, at between 40 and 55 beats per minutes. Also if I breathe deeply, my B/P does go down, so I don't think that it's heart related. it's probably stress related, as I do feel nervous for no apparent reason most of the time. I am under the impression that low thyroid function causes low blood pressure???

hi
as you rightly told that you are diagnosed with hypothyroidism i advice you to visit a physician for the correction of hypothyroidism. you might be going in for myxoedema. its better if you visit immediately. most of your problems are due to hypothyroidism.
and also looks like you have postural variation in blood pressure. get a physician opinion on it to rule out neurological and cardiac cause

all the above features are more likely to be features of hypothyroidism only. its better if you start with the treatment for hypothyroidism. most of your problems will improve with it. its better not to delay the treatment

wish you good recovery
