Diagnosed With Hyperinsulinemia, High Blood Sugar Level. Taken Metformin, Januvia And Insulin. What Is Going On?

I have been diagnosed with hyperinsulinemia. I have had trials of metformin, januvia and insulin injection. All have failed to reduce my blood sugar to within normal levels. Is there a medication that can sensitize my cells to the large volumes of insulin my body already produces, without making my pancreas produce more insulin?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
You are suffering from Syndrome X, ie hyperglycemia inspite of hyperinsulinemia. you are taking treatment. along with that lifestyle changes are needed like taking morning walk for atleast 30-45 minutes per day, exercises, weight reduction, reducing stress by relaxation techniques like meditation which will help in increasing the sensitivity of cells to insulin.

Diabetologist Dr. Pratap VGM's  Response
DEAR SIR/MADAM

You are experiencing severe insulin resistance, which is a characteristic of syndrome x or metabolic syndrome.
Hyperinsulemia is due to increased beta cell functionality which is inturn caused by high blood sugars.
Additional dosage of insulin to your body will cause resting of insulin secreting cells which will be useful for long time
Proper diet and exercise will increase the compliance and decrease the insulin resistance. These drugs are also indicated.

thanks
