Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia. Do You Think Patches On Limbs That Hurts, Sore When Pressed Is Also Fibro?

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which I am told is a pain like sensation which moves all over the body. I also have patches on my limbs at different times that just hurt, ache and are sore when pressed. Do you think this is the fibro as well??

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the hard patches on the limbs.

These hard patches might simple fibromas which are due to proliferation of tissues around the nerves. It is quite commonly observed in fibromyalgia.
The condition is totally benign and never turn out to be a serious issue any time in life.

IN any case if any of these becomes larger in size then the simple treatment is excision of the lump which can be done in few minutes depending on the size. You Should not be worried about these patches. For the pain part you can take pain killer tablet such as paracetamol or diclofenac on as and when required basis.

Take care.
