Diagnosed With Acid Reflux, Acid Sensation In Throat, Moving To Nose And Ears. Treatment For Symptoms?
I have been diagnosed with acid reflux . I haven t really had a problem with it until last night. I was watching TV and all of a sudden, something shot up in my throat up my nose and in my ears. The burning pain was almost unbearable, especially in my ears. ever since then, my ears hurt. Is this truly acid reflux? Can it burn your ears like that?
hi there, acid reflux techincally means that the gastric juices which are very rich in acids get thrown back up your food pipe and into your oral cavity and it can reach to any place in your mouth. As the opening of the eustachian tube is inthe lateral wall of the oral cavity it can reach the ears tho' uncommonly. The burning pain is a result of that. You need to take medication prescribed by your doctor for the same. Also a small change in lifestyle may help. You should try taking small meals preferablely low in fat and spices and eat early supper, a small stroll post diner and atleast a gap of 1 hr before bedtime will help. Try to be in uprighy position and not recumbant immediatedly after meals. Hope these small measures help. take care.
