Diagnosed With HSP. Took Prednisone. Low Grade Fever And Blood In Urine. Have Gardnella Vaginitis. Worried About Affecting Kidney

My daughter was diagnosed with HSP 2 years ago and was treated with prednisone for a few months. No sx of HSP now but she thought she had a UTI when she had low grade fever and blood in her urine. She was tx with Macrodantin but had no improvement so was changed to Cipro. Sx cleared but Dr did a vaginal swab and she was Dx. with Gardnella vaginitis. However her urinalysis had a 4.0 Urobilogen and pos for Nit. Now I'm concerned her HSP might be causing kidney damage. Is this level concerning enough to follow up with her primary doc.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
H S P ( HEAT-SHOCK PROTEIN) usually don't effects kidneys at all as far as known to me.
There was low grade fever with blood in urine.
This is a cause of concern.
Urine analysis had UROBILINOGEN ===== 4.
Exact unit not described , so please mention in next query.
Normal urobilinogen level is 1-4 mg in 24 hour urine ( 1.7 to 6.6 umol /day).
Without report ( proper ) it is not possible to predict some thing.
Good luck.
