Diagnosed Myxofibrosarcoma. Surgery Done, Removed Cystic Mass, Some Located Near Hip Bone. Further Treatment?
Hi, I had surgery almost 4 weeks ago and the pathology report came back with a diagnoses of myxofibrosarcoma. The Dr was able to remove 85% of the cystic mass. The remainder is located in the muscle wall on my right size resting on my hip bone. My Dr said I was a medium grade 2 is that stage 2 I am not understanding grades.
HI Thank for choosing the HCM. Sarcoma is name given to a tumor which is arises mainly from muscle fibers and thus the different name given to the origin of this tumor, as for in your case " Myxofibrosarcoma" this is stand for the tumor common connective tissue form of tumor, in case of sarcoma the grade is usually given " Low ,Intermediate, and High" as you stated here grade 2 which is very uncommon and I think your doctor might have given it according his/her own experience which may be mean intermediate one, you can discus it with your doc, have nice DAY.
