Diagnosed Labyrinthitis, Dizzy, Sick, Cold,taking Betahistine, Unable To Function Properly. Cure?
I have been diagnosed by my gp (he didn't get out of his chair, do obs or anything) as having Labirynthitis, I am dizzy, sick and cold for 3 weeks now. I take Betahistine which he has increased to 16mg 3 x daily. I am unable to function properly and really need some help. I am a 46 year old lady with three children to care for. Please help.

HISTORY IS SUPPORTIVE FOR ACUTE LABYRINTHITIS AS IT IS SECONDARY TO URTI, SEEMS TO BE VIRAL- CONTINUE BETAHISTINE 24 MG X 12 HRLY, BED REST, LOW SALT DIET, TAB METHYPREDNISOLONE 16 MG X BD X 5 DAYS, REDUCE TO 16 MG X BD X NEXT 5 DAYS (AFTER MEALS). GET A PURE TONE AUDIOGRAM DONE TO R/PO MENIERE`S DS.
