Diabetic, Blood Test Done, Feels Weak. Should Take Insulin?

Hello, I have been diagnosed as a diabetic. My fasting blood test results are c-peptide 0.54 which is low cosidering the test range and also tested positive for gad antibodies and have lost over 45lbs. I am 5 11 138 lbs. Pills have been working but I feel I need insulin to bring my weight back up and regain my energy. Should I be put on insulin?

Hello
Low C -peptide levels and positive GAD antibodies indicate that you are having type 1 diabetes and the treatment for type 1 diabetes is only injectable insulin.
Consult a diabetologist for the proper evaluation, diagnosis and proper treatment.
Thanks
