Delayed Periods, Tiredness, Moodiness, Heart Burn, Cramps. Negative Pregnancy Tests. Serious Symptoms?

Hi i am now 6 weeks late for my period. I seem to be tired a lot and i feel as though i am being more moody than normal with everyone. I have had heart burn like crazy and today i started getting some cramps in my lower area. I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests and all of them have come up negative but it has bee almost 3 weeks since i have tested. Should i take a test again or could it be something more serious?

hello there, your symptoms clearly show signs of early hypothyroidism. Thyroid is the exocrine gland that secrets T3 ,T4 and calcitonin harmone which play important role in regulating your body's rate of metabolism and also affect the normal functioning of other systems of your body. Hypothyroidism is the condition wherein you have decreased levels of T3 and T4 harmones which in turn shows elevated levels of TSH (a harmone of hypothalamus). So before going for pregnancy test please get a test for T3,T4 and TSH by providing a blood sample. wishing you good health.
