Delayed Periods, Pregnancy Test Negative, Abdominal Pain
My name is maricris 33 years old. My monthly period is now 12 days delayed i had pregnancy test 3 times all came negative, i experience a sharp abdominal pain everyday as if i have my monthly period. i have never been delayed this long usually i will be delayed in 3-5 days only. i m sure i m not pregnant because my boyfriend and i use condom during intercourse. i want to know why my period is late and why am i experiencing this sharp pain in my lower abdomen as if i have my period.

If you have always had regular cycles, the possibility is that the urine pregnancy test was not properly done; may need to be repeated with a fresh early morning sample of urine and a result is usually seen 3-7 days after a missed period. Else, you can get the blood test done as it is more specific and sensitive. Condom alone has a higher failure rate than using double protection. You can also get a trans-vaginal sonogram to clarify the situation and see a specialist for further management. Hope this helps.
