Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your ehalth concern.
Progesterone is supposed to prevent uterine contractions.
You are already taking adequate dosage with daily suppositories and weekly progesterone injections.
Would you let me know what is her cervical length.
You need to be concerned only if it is less than 25 mm.
For other precautions, take rest as much as possible.
Avoid intercourse.
Stay away form jerky travelling, constipation, chronic cough.
Avoid standing on your feet for prolonged intervals.
When the baby crosses 34 weeks of pregnancy, make sure that Betnesol steroid shots are administered to you, to enhance the lung maturity of the baby, just in case preterm delivery does occur, inspite of all precautions.
Stay in touch and close to a hospital for delivery that is equipped with expert pediatricians and a good Neonatal ICU.
Avoid urinary tract infections.
Rush to the hospital in case of any ominous indications.
All the best and take care.
