Could White Dots And Pain In Throat Be Related To Tonsillitis?

i think i may have tonsillitis, my throat is really hurting and there seems to be small white dots at the back i have tried using some anaesthetic throat spray but the pain is still there it hurts to swallow and i find it hard drinking or eating because of the pain cause going down. is this tonsillitis or just a virus?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have an infection in throat and the.most probable cause of it seems to be bacterial infection and the white dots seems to be pus pockets..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and investigations like throat swab culture to rule out the exact cause of pain..

In case of Bacterial infection you can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles, Stream inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can suck Throat lozenges and chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
You should avoid spicy and chilled foods and take a bland diet..
