Could The High Heart Rate Be Due To High BP?
Hi, I have high blood pressure since college days at age of 20 and after extensive medical checkup, no specific reason was found. My father got high BP at age of 40. I am 35 now and have started taking medication since last 3 years. Aten 50, Envas 2.5, Alzolam daily in morning. My heart rate prior to medication was in range of 85-90. Could high heart rate be cause of high BP? Should i take Aten 50 only?

Hypertension or high blood pressure in most of the cases are said to be primary hypertension that is for which no cause can be found out.
I can understand that you have high B.P . It would be better had I known your exact B.P.
Your heart rate of 85-90 is of high normal range. Yes the heart rate can be high due to high B.P .
Your doctor must have advised you Aten 50 , Envas 2.5 after considering all the adverse effects and for the proper control of your blood pressure.
Do not worry.
Try to follow a balanced diet with loads of vegetables and fruits.
Try to walk for at least 40 minutes a day for 5 days a week.
This will help you to reduce your blood pressure.
Go for regular Blood pressure check-ups atleast once in 2 weeks.
Keep in touch with your doctor. He will adjust the dosage accordingly.
