Could Swollen Tonsil Be Due To Thyroid Problem?

I have been having very bad anxiety, itchy skin, fast heart beats and other issues that may be associated with an overactive thyroid. I have a tonsil that has been swollen forever and am seeing a doctor about that soon. can the swollen tonsil cause an issue with the thyroid?

Hello

It is not likely that your tonsillar swelling is due to thyroid problem and is likely to be due to a throat infection. please meet your ent doctor for examination and further advice. for the time being you can start gargling with warm salt water 2-3 times a day.

Thanks
