Hello,

Swelling and soreness in legs may be due to bug bites, it may last for 72 hrs or more. The bite causes an open wound and hence infection may develop in the deeper layer. You can take non sedating anti histamines for relieve from allergic reaction. You can apply hydrocortisone cream or calamine lotion 3-4 times a day on the area affected.

You can take analgesics or NSAIDS to ease pain and inflammation. It should reduce, but if it causes difficulty in swallowing and breathing you should visit ER to rule out cellulitis, you may need conservative treatment with antibiotics and urgent medical aid. Other causes of such symptoms can be obesity, inactive lifestyle, DVT, kidney or heart issues, etc.

You are suggested to maintain healthy BMI, cut on salty food, do exercises, stay active, avoid addictions if any, do not take trans fat, oily spicy food. Get clinically assessed, get blood, urine & imaging tests done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
