Could Skin Problems Such As Atopic Dermatitis Be Related To Chronic Fatigue, Painful Joints And Dizziness?

I have been having a lot of problems the last year that seem to be auto immune related however my ANA is negative. I have raynauds. I have started having flare ups of arthritic pain in joints, chronic fatigue, have developed asthma, an array of skin issues lately atopic dermatitis, seborrhea dermatitis of scalp and neck and chest. I have been staying dizzy the last 2 weeks and today I notice swelling at the base of my skull possibly a muscle?? but lymph nodes in that area are swollen also. I have headaches at least every other day. Should I be concerned? I work every day, I know I sound like a wreck but I function well except I go to bed once I get home from work because Im always exhausted.

Hi,

You seem to suffer from multiple systemic and skin problems. I recommend you to consult the dermatologist along with physician or rheumatologist. The joint pain and fatigue are not related with atopic dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis is a separate skin disease and the other problems may be there due to other disease. There may be rheumatoid arthritis. So, consult the rheumatologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
