Suggest Treatment For Hives On Body
Question: I had Dengue Fever over a year ago. Since then I've been susceptible to breaking out into hives. I got three bee stings in April and had hives for a few weeks after. I was exposed to a possible spider bite or other insect a few weeks ago and I keep breaking out into hives almost daily. i've been taking an anti-histamine to keep them at bay. I'm 44 female and in great shape beside this reoccurring condition. I've always been very allergic to honey bee stings. I've been exposed to poisonous jelly fish on many occasions and when I was a baby something bit me and caused most of my body to have an allergic reaction.

The cause of hives is unrelated to your previous episode of Dengue. It is due to inherent susceptibility to bite of bees or other insect. I would recommend you to take Zyrtec(Cetirizine) at the first symptoms of anaphylaxis like itching in the oral cavity which usually precedes the development of hives.
Local application of Calamine lotion will also prevent itching.

thank you very much for your reply I really appreciate it. could it the hives breaking out have anything to do with being pre menopausal? I'm asking because I was researching possible reasons and I came across.. again thank you very much for your time and expertise.
How long can I have the bumps on my skin for? The Zyrtec seems to keep it from inflaming yet I see tiny red dots on my skin. Everyday a few inflame get bigger and start to itch. I've been taking more than one Zyrtec in a 24 hour period. Is that okay? How many can I take a day? I'm taking the quick dissolve right now at 10mg.
