Could Rash Looking Patch In My Throat Be Related To Herpes Infection?

I have found a discoloured almost rash looking patch at the back of my throat. Its not painful and I have been tested postive for a viral infection and herpes simplex 1. Is this related? Im very worried and trying to figure out who to go see. Im a 29 aged female in generally good physically shape.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be the pharyngitis, it may be viral, or bacterial secondary to the viral infection. Some times the the pain may be apparent after some days of infection.
I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
You may need to have a culture and sensitivity of the throat swab for diagnosis.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms erythromycin, phenylefrine, citrizine.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
