Could Pain On The Left Side Of Back, Cold Sweats And Weakness Be Due To Diabetes?

Hi I have been experiencing pain on the left side of my back and have also been experiencing weakness and cold sweats. It is especially noiticeable when I have to use the bathroom. I become weak, sweat and have passed out briefly. I am diabetic and wonder what these things could be and if they are related.

Dear sir

More often diabetes is associated with hypothyroidism. If you are a hypothyroid then you have risk of developing all these symptoms.

It is not an unlikely chance. It may happen.

Secondly newer concept have come up of supplementation of vitamin D3 for patients with known type 2 diabetes. It will decrease the incidences of malaise and fatigue.

Since you are complaining of left sided back pain, it is adviced to get ultrasound scanning of abdomen as early as possible.

thanks
