Could Missing Periods And Brown Discharge Be Due To Pregnancy?
HI. I am 20 years old and very sexually active with my boyfriend. We don't use any protection and for the month of November I did not get a period over thanksgiving break I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. We recently had sex on Wed. and I think he may came inside me he swears he didnt but I think he did. I keep getting this on and off brown discharge. Today it was dark brown. Am I pregnant
Hello, I have gone through the query and understood your concern. Since you are sexually active without any protection, you have very good chances of getting pregnant provided you have regular ovulatory cycles. If the home pregnancy test you took was after at least 3 days after the missed period and done with a fresh early morning sample of urine, then it can be concluded that you are not pregnant. This spotting is likely to be due to hormonal imbalance, infections of the cervix/vagina, polyps and erosions. A proper evaluation by an expert should be done to plan further management. Please maintain a healthy weight, regular exercise and a healthy diet. Take care.
