Hallow Dear,

Different tests like urine pregnancy test and ultrasonography has confirmed that you are not pregnant. So that possibility is ruled out.

At the age the 39 years, delay in single period for about a week is not a definitive indication of early menopause; though the possibility cannot be ruled out.

Usually, for few months to years before the menopause, the menses become irregular and are progressively delayed. When the menses do not appear for continuous 6 months at the menopausal age, it is labelled as menopause.

Your blood examination for FSH, LH and Oestrogen can indicate whether you are heading to the menopause. However, I feel you should wait for few more days expecting your periods. If still they do not appear, please report to your Gynaecologist.

Your upper abdominal pain seems to be due to increased acidity in the stomach. Proton pump inhibitors you are taking will relieve you from it.

I hope this helps you to resolve the dilemma.
