Could Mild Spotting During Pregnancy After Attending A Concert For Short Time Be Concerning?
Hi, I am about 5 and a half weeks pregnant, and I went to a concert last night. (First one I had ever been to and I was unaware about how much it would vibrate) after about 20 minutes the vibrations were a little too much to handle and I left the concert. However I have had some mild spotting every since and I was wondering if there was a need to be concerned?
Spotting during pregnancy may be an indication of impending abortion. In most cases, if this is detected early it can be prevented. So I suggest that you visit your healthcare provider at the earliest and get yourself examined as well as an ultrasound scan done [preferably transvaginal] to ensure the well being of the baby. Then you may need bed rest, HCG injections and progesterone tablets to prevent further bleeding.
Other causes of spotting are cervical lesions like polyps and infections. But considering your history, it is more important to rule out abortion.
Hope this was able to help you.
