Could Light Bleeding, Mild Cramping, Sore Breasts Be Due To A Pregnancy?
I was supposed to start my period on the 21st of this month. I have taken 2 HPT's and a blood test at the dr Monday, all negative. I just started light bleeding with mild cramps yesterday and it is nothing like my normal period...I have an OBGYN appt tomorrow but could I be pregnant? I have had symptoms such as sore breasts, and fatigue, no vomiting but I have been a little queezy....
Home pregnancy tests are conclusive after about a week of the missed period; earlier they may report false negative. When did you perform these tests matters a lot.
In fact, pregnancy is characterized by absence of the menses. However, in occasional cases, some amount of bleeding may show around the time of expected menses in early pregnancy. All other symptoms like nausea & vomiting, frequency of menstruation and breast symptoms appear after about a week to 10 days of missed period. The fatigue when experienced, is due to nausea.
Considering the very light bleeding around the expected day of menstruation and all the other symptoms you have mentioned, you do have to consider the possibility of pregnancy. If you have performed pregnancy tests too early, you may repeat it on overnight sample of first morning urine sample a week after expected date of menses. If this also is negative, you are not pregnant. In that case, you may take some progestational preparation like Deviry for 5 days; 4-7 days after that you will get withdrawal bleeding.
I hope this resolves your dilemma.
