Could Leukoplakia On Cheek Be Due To Chewing All The Time?

Hello, my question involves leukoplakia I went to the doctor after I quit smoking and she told me I had leukoplakia on my cheek... Now I didn't have it when I was smoking but got it after I quit and started chewing gum ... Is it possible that from chewing all the time I irritated my cheek ?

Leukoplakia is a sign of tobaco chewing or smoking. Also if any substance cause iritation at cheek mucosa it can cause leukoplakia, so avoid chewing gum,and wait for sometime. This will get better.
