Can Leukoplakia In The Side Of The Tongue Be Caused Due To GERD?

i want to know if leukoplakia in side of tongues can be caused by GERD? im 26, and i've notice some faded white stripes on the side of my tongue, they almost clear completely after i scrub them washing my teeth, and they almost disappear completely when i'm chewing gum, my denture isn't the best but i know i have GERD.
