Could Intense Itchy Skin In Breast, Stomach And Back Be Due To Stopping Lamictal Medicine?

For the past two months I have been suffering from extremely itchy skin, my breast, my stomach, and my back. I am not sure if this is a result from a medication I was put on and stopped after three weeks (Lamictal) or if it is from stress, or something else. It is not painful, just very intense.

Hi,

Thank you for your question on HCM

I do understand your pain and discomfort

As per your history is concerned there are lots of pathological causes responsible for itching so do a blood differential count and stool examination first. Take medications as per findings. Secondly you have asked about if it is relates to drugs which you were taking I may say that if you are taking medication for the first time then there will be itching symptoms for some but by leaving the drug the reaction for pruritus has not been established so far.

I hope I was able to answer your question, if you have any further clarification do not hesitate to write me.

Wish you a good health

Thanks
