Could Intake Of Althea Pill Post Intercourse Help Prevent Pregnancy?

hi I would just like to ask i have a 28 cycle period and my period ended september 11,2018 and had sex for the first time with my boyfriend on september 13, 2018 with no protection. He inserted but we did not finish. I took althea pills the same day with more than 2 doses, as EC is not available over the counter in my country and I am worried about precum. today, september 14, 2018 i continued taking. Am I at risk of pregnancy? Is althea a possible substitution for EC?

Hi,

Menstrual irregularities in your case, could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by an pill. Althea pill is not the substitute for i-Pill. As you took pill on time there is almost no chance of pregnancy in your case. So wait and watch for your menses, get your home urine pregnancy test after 7 days of your missed period date.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
