Could Difficulty In Urination A Symptom Of MS?

I have urgency in urination but can only go about 1/3 the normal amt and then I have to rub my genitals to get the other 2/3 to come out. Urine culture was negative for bladder infection. I do have MS but have not had bladder problems related to that as yet. Regular doc seems to think it may be MS related but he also threw in the possibility of skin condition although he didn't physically examine me

Hi,

You are saying to have MS, please bare in mind that patients with MS have problems with bladder.

I always advise my patients to:
- avoid coffee, alcohol, energetic drinks that can stimualte bladder
- do kegel's exercise for bladder training (can be assist by a healthcare provider)
- do not drink water or other fluids at night to avoid urge to go to bathroom at night
- go to the bathroom each time you have the need, do not delay
- as you are not mentioning your gender, if you are a male and not circumsized, can consult your physician to get circumsized.

All the best!
