Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If you have always been regular with your cycles, you should test for pregnancy using the home pregnancy test kit 3-7 days after the missed period. Tests done early and not using the fresh early morning sample do not read well. You can repeat the test after a couple of days or go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres. If positive, you can go for a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the location of the gestation sac, the viability and the age of the pregnancy. If negative, you can wait for a week to see your period and to take further help. Take care.
