Could Dark Red Sputum Be Related To Strep Throat?

Hi I was diagnosed with Strep throat a week ago (tomorrow) im on Amoxicillin 875 twice a day, I have not missed a dose, my throat is improving, however, I have very dark red sputum, (quarter size) no cough, no fever. Could this be related to the Strep throat?

Hi,
Welcom to
Healthcaremagic.com

Yes it can be related to the throat infection.
Because of severe inflammation or some times during coughing in too hard, there may happen a mucosal tear. Some blood may ooze out and mixes with blood.

You need to consult your doctor if it increases in quantity and frequency.

Hope you will be healthy soon.

Regards...........
