Could Cramping And Spotting Be Due To Tumor In Ovary?

I am planning a visit to my doctor, but am just curious. I had a hysterectomy in March 2005, ovaries were left in, for a benign tumor. Today I felt cramping and have a very small amount of blood in my discharge. Is there any reasonable explanation of this?
