Could Brown Mucus Be A Result Of Having Had Membrane Sweep?

I had a membrane sweep yesterday morning and I had alittle bit of pain when it happened but I had no more pain after that and then in the evening around 7-8 pm I had a brown pinkish mucus. Can you tell me if this was my bloody show or just something else.

For now, it should be safe to assume that the discolored mucus you are seeing is a consequence of the membrane sweep. Spotting is frequently reported after the sweep procedure. Spotting can certainly discolor the normal mucous that was already there.

Whether what you are seeing was your "bloody show" or simply a consequence of sweeping, or a little of both, cannot be determined, and is not particularly important. The good news is that you are probably going to deliver quite soon!

If you have heavier bleeding, significant pain or heavy discharge (as opposed to just mucous), get checked promptly by your physician.
