Could Abdominal Pain With Prolonged Constipation After Being Hit On Lower Back Be Serious?

I was hit in the back by a friend messing around. He hit me on the lower left hand side pretty good. After that I had some general soreness, but then the next day it started to hurt through to my front. I also became constipated. I was constipated for about 3-4 days. I ended up taking a laxative and that helped. I was wondering if that punch could have caused that and if so if that could have cause any serious damage. It has been 5 days since the punch and I am feeling better but still having some stomach pains and not much of an appetite.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Please go with a USG of the abdomen to rule out severity if there is any. Milk of magnesia (30 ml at bed time) will give rest to your stomach also.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
