Could I Give Ibuprofen Along With Mucinex For My Child Suffering From Headache And Fever With Asthma?

my son is 12 years old he has asthma but is complaining of headache body ache fever and sore throat I gave him some mucinex it had a fever reducer in it but his fever has not gone down I gave him the mucinex 2 hours ago I was wondering if I could give him ibuprofen or Tylenol on top of the mucinex

ibuprofen preferably avoided in asthamatics as it can lead to exacerbation of symptom. Paracetamol is safer alternative.
