Corns On The Toes Causing Soreness. Need A Permanent Cure
So tired of large corns on my toes. I've tried corn remover liquid and patches. The size of a couple have reduced but I have three that are still really large. They are very hard and when I get them to peel a little off they are sore for days. With a $10,000 deductible I really need a way to get them removed without costing an arm and a leg. What can I do?
Hi, thanks for your query.
I understand your concern regarding multiple corns on your toes. I shall suggest you some ways to treat corns that wont cost you too much but you need to visit a podiatrist or a dermatologist for this.
You may get the dead tissue pared by a scalpel and apply keratolytic lotion like salicylic acid or lactic acid. This has to be repeated until it reduces.
You may undergo minimally invasive procedure like electro cautery or carbon dioxide laser to get it removed. It can be done in one or two sittings.
However corns are known for recurrance.
It can be prevented by putting well fitted cushioned shoes or foam pads with hole in the centre to redistribute pressure around the corn instead of right over it.
Hope this solves your query.
