Constipation, Bloating. Colonoscopy Report Normal. History Of Bypass Surgery. Advice
Hello Doc,
My father is 74 yrs old. He is having difficulty in getting motion, cuz of which he has uneasiness, bloated tummy. Inspite of giving supposedary he passed very little motion.As this problem continued he underwent a colonoscopy and scan of the stomach today which revealed that everything was ok. He has been asked to increase his fibre intake & has also been given isabgol. He is basically a rice eater with no or little wheat in his diet. He underwent a by-pass surgery last year, but this problem has always been present.Would be greatful if u cud advice on d matter

Bloating , burping, uneasiness all are related to constipation and due to this there is anxiety.
Further you don't find any reason of constipation as fiber diet all acts only on limited manner.
Since your father is an operated case of heart surgery so you try two steps as,
Phenolphthalein tablets at bed time chew or orally , if one is not sufficient than increase the dose accordingly.
If this remedy not acting than try one more home remedy ( Indian).
AMALTAS is a tree and the botanical name is "cassia fistula" . Use the seeds of this tree accordingly.
