Colonoscopy Done, Nausea, Light Headedness, Diverticulitis. Polyp Removed. Normal Symptoms?

I had a colonoscopy two days ago. Since then I have been feeling light headed and nauseous. About a year ago I was diagnosed with crohns and two days ago I was diagnosed with diverticulitis . The Dr. removed a polyp . Is it normal to feel light headed and nauseous after this procedure? I have had a colonoscopy in the past and didn t feel this way. I am a 51 y.o woman.

Hi thanks for your question.
Lot of air is injected into the colon to distend the colon, this distension of colon sometimes give rise to light headness and nausea. The second factor is drugs used during colonoscopy for amnesia and pain could also give rise to headache and nausea. The difference from previous colonoscopy could be more distension of gut and any change in medication this time.Hope this answers your question.
