Child with viral, chest clear, ear clear. Throat and head hurts while coughing. Giving ibuprofen and tylenol. What else to do?

I took my 10 year to the pediatrician yesterday, she had a fever all last night of 101.5-102.
The MD said it was viral, chest clear and ears clear. Today she says her throat hurts real bad especially when she coughs and her head hurts too.
I am alternating the Ibuprofen and Tylenol, what else can i do?? she seems sicker than yesterday!
