Child Have Sore Eyes, Stomach Pain, Nose Bleed. Had Applied Eye Drops. Is It To Be Worried?

My 4 year old daughter has sore eyes for 5 days now, yesterday she was complaining of a tummy ache whenever she drinks milk, then during the afternoon she had a nose bleed. We were thinking it was because of the heat, but today she had a tummy ache again and a nose bleed. She's active, no fever, and we only applied eye drops to her eyes the past few days. Do we need to worry?

Hi and thanks or the query,

it might be necessary to get her examined by a doctor. Persistence of the eye ache could deserve a keener attention to know exactly what going wrong and give an appropriate treatment. Abdominal pain in a child usually needs to be evaluated, especially when the child is very conscious. Though the child remains well, its worth it. Allergy to milk specific milk protein should be evaluated and if possible excluded off her diet.

Has the child recently had a flu? This could explain bleeding at times. But however, a physical examination maybe needed to be sure its idiopathic bleeding. Other tests to evaluate the clotting profile might be done in case bleeding persists.
I strongly feel the child deserves the attention of a pediatrician. thanks once again and hope this helps. Best regards,

Bain LE, MD.
