Child Have Red Dots On Cheeks. No Medication Taken Till Now. Is It A Serious Problem?

Hi, my son is 22 months old and has small red dots on his cheeks resembling petechiae. They are not raised and don't seem to bother him. There are more on his right cheek than his left, and he also has a cluster of them about the size of a pencil eraser on the right cheek. Should we be worried, or are they just broken capillaries from the temper tantrums?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

You have not mentioned since how long is this rash present. From your description if the rash does not seem to bother him no action would be required at present.

However if the rash increase in size ,spreads to other areas and becomes itchy then he will have to get examined by his doctor .
Bye
Take Care.
