Child Has Spot On Tongue, Itchiness. Applied Denkin Oral Gel. Is It A Disease?

Hello Dr. XXXXXX, my son is 2years old now. my son has a big red spot on his tongue . i think he feels sometimes itchy on that. i applied the denkin oral gel, 3 times a day. but it still there on his tongue. may i know what kind of disease is that and is it necessary to see a pediatrician ? thank you for your kind response. Red spot on tongue may be due to aphthous ulcers.
Give plenty of fluids and nutritious food to your child.
Vitamin b12 supplements can be given.
A detailed clinical evaluation is required for further reference.
Clean your child 's tongue daily.
Visit a dentist for further check up.
