What Causes Oral Thrush?

I had a fungus or thrush on my tongue, took some troches and it cleared up, but it burned my mouth and my tongue got a little swollen. Swelling went down but I have a little bump on the side of my tongue by my back tooth and a bump on the back of my tongue. They don't hurt. It is hard to eat.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have swelling of the tongue papillae secondary to yeast infection and it is appearing as bumps on tongue..
As the infection i now subsiding the bumps will also gradually regress and resolve..
You need not to worry as it does not looks to be serious..
I would suggest you to start doing warm saline gargles and also suck ice pops..
You should also take plenty of yoghurt as it will help in clearing any further infection.
Take a soft and bland diet..
Drink plenty of cool water..
In case if there is no improvement consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
