Child Has Peeling Tongue, No Pain. Need For Worry?

Hello, my stepdaughters tongue peeled a little bit today. It's about the size of a sqiushed pea. She says she has no pain and doesn't feel any different. She said she felt something on her tongue and went to investigate and peeled a small part off. When I looked in her mouth there was a little bit left that looked like a bubble gum. She peeled that and everything else looks fine. Even the freshly peeled spot looks normal. I know she had some salt foods today but this has never happened before. Is this something to be worried about?

hi

Thanks for your query

i can feel your concerns

it can be a allergic reaction
i want to inquire if she is allergic to some food?is this peeling occur after taking some specific type of food.?
if she is allergic to some food then it is advised to avoid that stuff
it can also be a feature of anaemia or vitamin deficiency.i advise to get her complete blood profile .and take multivitamin and iron supplements after consulting your doctor
improve diet.add fresh vegetables and fruits to diet.avoid spicy and junk food

Hope i have ansewered your query
