Child Has Fever, Ear Swelling, Painful. Help
my child is about 15months and from 15 days he is suffering from fever and also there is a swelling near back of right ear and is very painful. I consulted a physician and there is no response of treatment still there is no change in his swelling and fever. could you please help me..? can you please tell me the cause and treatment...?

It seems that your child might be having acute infection in ear resulting in painful enlargement of lymph node behind the ear and fever.
Child requires antibiotic and anti inflammatory syrup to get relief.
You have not mentioned the treatment given by your physician.
Consult your physician again and discuss about this.

Hi,
your child seems to have an abscess i.e, pus filled swelling near back of right ear.
this will not resolve only by tablets.
this abscess needs to be drained out first and then treated with oral or injectable antibiotics with round the clock paracetamol 6hourly.
get a mantoux test done.
